I was curious.....Sooooooooooooooo

Front Travel: 13.5" vs 16"
Rear Travel: 14" vs 18"

Wheelbase: 81.4" vs 90"

Weight: 1204 vs 1379

Dimensions: 108 x 64 x 73 vs 119 x 64 x 73.75

Ground Clearance: 13 vs 13.5

Fuel Capacity: 7.25 vs 9.5

Power/Weight Ratio: 13.68 lb per HP vs 12.88 lb per HP (This is A LOT closer than I thought)

BTW...if you upgraded to the Stage 1 kit on the XP900, you're at 12.80 lb per HP.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how they compare once they hit the trails or dunes. I personally think some of the enthusiasm may be over done.

How do you go down .08 horse power if you add like 6 horse power to it or did I miss something

Well I'm sold ... Not over hp and suspension. Travel either. Sold because the redesigned cockpit and the storage space on top of the trailing arm redesign. Just a lot of little things that interested me I think. Led tail lights redesigned front end and headlights. Where I live hp is the least of my worries. Although not sure how much difference the height and length will measure up to stability and agility in real life

That's a ratio...

Take the weight of the vehicle: 1204 / 88 = 13.64 Pounds of car per 1 Horsepower.

Go to 94 HP and you have 1204 / 94 = 12.80 pounds per 1 HP. Which will be quicker for sure.

Sure! Tons of good reasons to buy one. I didn't post the specs to talk anyone out of one or into one. Just info.

The BIGGEST detriment to anyone with a 10' garage in your toy hauler...The 1000 won't fit!! My 900 BARELY fits.

Don't get me wrong, I want one but now isn't the right call financially. Got way too much wrapped up into my 900 right now. Think ill hang on to it another year then maybe buy one. Until then it's nice to see I won't be far off

I suppose I agree, there are other improvements than just power. For rock crawling the suspension will be more articulate. I've never been much of a trend setter and I think I'll wait to see some real world experience before I buy.

119" long - 119/12 = 9'-11"..........It should fit in a 10 footer. I am trying to figure out what size of trailer to buy - 10' or 12'?

I am glad I never upgraded my '08-800. Now I have no guilt getting one.

Glad I left my 900 mostly stock aside from a few bolt on pieces. At least the only money I'll lose is on the machine itself if I decide to sell it, but I'd really like to keep both!

1" clearance? Really? There's no way with a bumper or ANYTHING beyond stock. I have to stuff it to the wall and take off my rear tire carrier...not just the tire, but the carrier as well, because the roll cage goes to the radius bar bracket and the front bumper from UTV inc sticks out too.

I guess I won't stop you....but you can't add anything.

I wonder if we could bolt that entire top end on our 900 plus the injectors. How cool would that be.

Or put a set of service ramps and drive the front tires onto it to fit in the 10' tow hauler.... It may give you a few more inches of room. You could also block it to get taller height.

Always buy the next size up from what you think you need. It does not matter if your talking utility trailer, enclosed trailer or toyhauler trailer. I cant tell you how many people I have spoke to or know who have wished they had an extra few feet or have sold their current trailers to only step up one size.

The fact is the more we get into recreational activities the more stuff we end up buying and having to carry. Kids come along and now you are adding a quad or motorcycle or going from a 2 seat to 4 seat UTV. New machines come out and there a bit larger (think XP 1000) and now you are needing an extra foot.

Its hard to predict the future, but buying one size up insures your investment will last you longer and not hold you back. Your looking for a 10-12 ft? If it was me I would even consider a 14ft trailer.

I find it strange that there is only 1/2 inch more of clearance on the new 1000. 900 is advertised at 13.0 and 1000 is at 13.5. Yet, there are 29 inch tires on the 1000 and 26 on the 900. weird, or maybe I didnt read it correctly.

And it doesn't look like a tube frame either, like many hoped for.

And I have the stage 1 kit on my 900, so my power to weight issue is equivalent to the new 1000. Though it isn't apples to apples, because the 1000 has 29 inch tires which adds some, I am sure.

I do like the longer wheelbase on the 1000, which is now almost equivalent to the wildcat. Spec-wise, it seems very equivalent to the wildcat. Artic Cat is giving Polaris a run for their money, it seems. I am Polaris true and true...if wildcats ever get their reliability up to snuff....

The new 1000 is a sweet looking machine indeed, definitely raised the bar in a few areas. However, power to weight isn't that drastically different, and 29" tires? Really? Why? Stock to stock it'll slow it down a bit, I'm betting it won't be much faster than the 900 or Maverick. Think I'll go with the Po Po or Alba stage 2 kits and I'm prolly faster, if anyone cares. Wonder what the turning radius will be like with the longer wheelbase?

I think the thing that most people is going to like most about it, is the leg room, a lot of people has complained about that for so long maybe now they finely have listened and made a machine that the taller people can fit comfortable in.
I would like to have one but like a lot of others, ive got way to much money tied up in my 900. Probably going to stick with my 900 for now.

More leg room would be great. Good point.
